You see, you missed the fact that what I was saying was ironic. When I said "Shouldn't they be censoring the news too?" I wasn't being sincere. I was making the point that censoring things because of someone unrelated's actions is illogical. Down with censorship.

Seriously man, that would only cause more problems than it solves. It would also be tyrannical in nature to enforce something like that. Or maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying. Seriously though, if reporters had to research things before making claims then they wouldn't have the freedom to speak their mind. They're not all bad. If they weren't allowed to, Veronica Guerin would never have stood up to John Halligan. In the end she died, but her death was what sparked the soiution to the drug cartels. She didn't change things, but she sparked the people who did change things. Free speech in the media always needs to be protected.

Is it that hard for everyone to just accept that the news isn't perfect and never will be? It has flaws but is still good at informing the public, and that's what they are going to listen to, they won't stop anytime soon.

and lets face it, humans are so greedy they put others lives at risk to make a mint. given half a chance, do you save some one you never met or kill him for some green?

When Law is lawless and only the strong survive, would that be the same answer?

Not true. I've had some freinds tell me a chain of volcanos went off in the phillipines and no news program covered it. At all.

Define problems. Even "Problems" is slanted to the trend of the newscast.
