I said similar services, I wasn't talking about their business plan or management.

Yes, I'm sure there will be no other file hosting sites.
Jesus christ, how far can you take the man's words out of context?

In fairness, I think file hosting sites are either getting craftier or more specified, but they're not going anywhere.

Stuff akin to YouTube and, kinda even stuff like LastFM are the file hosting sites of the next generation, everything will just be streamlined so punters don't have to think about it.

my words were taken out of context as well, all I meant was. it a rare type of site in the amount of stuff you could upload and download and the cost i.e. free? and what I took out of context was the whole free stuff because I didn't mean that there won't be more file hosting sites. I just mean it's unlikely that there will be any similar to that in the amount of uploads it allows for the amount of money. that's what services would mean to me and frankly I don't see how you could make a site last too long if it offered similar services to filefront unless you had a similar or better business plan which would still eventually fail.

Youtube and Google survive primarily on advertisement income, don't they? Correct me if I'm wrong (I could very well be wrong) but I don't believe that you pay money for Youtube or Google applications.

I love both the sites, to be honest. They're full of free time-killing goodness. I have a Youtube account, and I even have a LastFM account because I rock.

I just got an e-mail from Jon Soucy (Director of Operations) about Filefront:

"FileFront has been acquired by the original founders of the site and will
NOT be suspended as previously announced. This is NOT an April Fool's Joke."
