How can you even say that? There's nothing more original than a guitar you made YOURSELF.

If you make the guitar yourself it will be a modified useless guitar.If you buy it from the shop it will be better.


P.S here are a few steps by which i made a guitar.it sucked but made some sound.

1)Take any old broken or useless guitar or some metal strings.
2)if you have an old broken guitar then take the strings from that.
3)take a wooden bat(NOT BROKEN)and hammer some nails in it.5 on each end like this:

five nails on each end

4)then name the nails a,b,c,d,e,1,2,3,4,5:

name the nails a a,b,c,d,e,1,2,3,4,5.

5)then take 5 metal strings and wind each string as 1 to a, 2 to b, 3 to c, 4 to d, 5 to e:

wind strings as 1 to a, 2 to b, 3 to c....so on

and you have the finished guitar:

make sure you add an adjuster so that you can tighten the strings to change the noise.(or else it will be boring.)

Dude, you are a complete and total moron. There are sites that sell all the needed materials, some even sell wood pre-bent for the sides. Really, this isn't the 1950s, making guitars isn't that hard anymore. I wasn't looking at making a cheap half-assed "guitar" made of a cookie tin, a piece of wood and strings. I was looking at making a REAL guitar, made of REAL guitar building materials. Gah, pay damn attention or don't post. It pisses me off when people are so dense.

my grand dad worked for a spanish guitar company called santana and allot of their guitars are crafted by hand and simple tools, he made one him self and its been passed down too me ^^
