Favourite Silly Moments On The Forum

Post by Renegade_Turner » Sat May 23, 2009 10:04 am

I derive amusement from going back to some of the retarded moments on the forums and reading over the conversations again. Therefore, I figured other people might also. This is the place to draw attention to any old squabbles or funny moments that really stuck out.

My favourite one would have to be the time when Ultimatum_479 started claiming that he kept thumbtacks in his watch and, when in fights, would take them out and put them between his fingers in a "matter of seconds" to deliver a "lethal punch". Hilarious conversation ensued, along with a rather fantastic photoshop picture of Usagi to solidify the the moment as a meme, although one that has since been forgotten.

The point where it starts is the second post of the second page of a thread David posted about Philosophy.

What is it with people boasting about their combative prowess over the internet?

Surely there are better places.

Ultimatum's thumbtack attack is useless against my sock filled with shattered glass & horse diarrhea.

Remember Ultimatum479?

Man it was fun to disagree with him all of the time.

I also think that was about the same time I became obsessed with sledgehammers and other blunt objects with a weighted end that can be used as weapons or tools of construction and demolition.

Hahahaha. I can just picture a huge utility watch with any assortment of household weapons.

I think the funniest thing about the attention thread was how it evolved from page one to page 22.

lol yeah the I Seek Attention thread was fun, but let's not draw attention to that because, y'know, it's still there.

Surely someone has some ancient thread to draw attention to from the depths of Wolfire Forums obscurity that we can feast upon? There must be something we've forgotten about. Something stronge.

I have a few favorites but they're more recent ones, I'll go dig through the threads and find a good one.

I can't remember enough of my first visits to these forums to think of anything more than Vib's (was it vib's?) lugaru comics, Invertin's Stik series, and the first evolving mites of what would become Bunnywithstick's Bubbleman Chronicles someday.
And of course my Whuttevvah series, in which only a select few around here seem to be interested...

Can't remember where the 'stronge' thing originated though, but I do remember several threads discussing it, plus something about some comic somewhere which had stolen our meme o.o

Oh yeah. By the way, I just tried animating again, and I suck so hard it's like looking at oddfight all over again.

Darn you brain and your inability to hold information for extended periods of time!
