Ah, collecting money for a scam cause...good times
This actually works really well. wear a T-shirt with the WWF or some shit on it, design a box with a nice little panda on it, and you're set!
It was funny when I did this during 'charity week' in school. My donation went to an excellent cause. (*Cough* Overgrowth *Cough*)

Collecting for a fake charity somehow seems morally worse then plain ol' thievery.

Or is it just me?

Come up here, and I'll hook you up with a $10 an hour job where you drive a tractor, and maybe move some not-very-heavy brush or boxes. (Yay for $60 a day and $300 a week!)

'Sides that, go to a rural, somewhat isolated area where the community is smaller than 200 people within 50 miles. Work for older people and ask around for work, minimum wage is $8, but most work is worth more, so ask for $10.

I got a rather unusual suggestion. But it is legal, so I suppose way better than a charity scam.
You write that you have money from time to time, so what about saving?
Every time you have 6$ dollar you put 3 of them away and spend only the rest. Do that 10 times and your set.
Of course, it takes some disciplin, but hey ... could be an experience for your life.

The jobs which Shadow mentioned are not income tax affected jobs, they're more like favours for neighbours in exchange for some money. That's not officially a job, and therefore you'd be able to do it. The legal age thing would only be for proper jobs, I assume.

not out of a tank, I had caught them ice fishing, we were on a winter camping trip. well I suppose the fish were almost dead, they only flopped around a little, course then I went to go catch more, and I came back and they'd cooked and eaten them while I was gone. they were only trout maybe 5-6 inches long. but still what kind of grossed me out was seeing their eyes pop when they got bitten.

I don't really have anything useful to sell, either. I sold a lot of my unused stuff about 2 years ago to save up money for a PS3 (I had to come up with at least half or my parents wouldn't buy me one )
