Cavalry thread

That's more Russia. Besides that, bear cavalry is pretty bad. Bears sleep during winter, may eat the riders if they aren't fed, and if someone gets close enough the bear would try to stand up and use its claws. Or was it mounts? I can never remeber which way it goes.

Any way, moose cavalry is where it's at!

Just look at that thing! The horns protect the rider(s) from enemy arrows, the tips can be easily sharpened, it can charge just fine, it's not afraid of snow...

Reindeer are smaller, but they're easier to tame, probably because they are herd animals and moose are solitary.

If I could, I would post a picture of a bear on top of a horse on top of the whaleman.

Yeah, antlers. Thanks for the correction.

Why cavalry rule: they're big, scary, intimidating.

Some types of cavalry are more intimidating than others:

Draft horses probably weren't used as warhorses because they were bred for, among other things, calmness, so that they wouldn't kill farmers that worked with them. But boy are they big:

The upcoming Last Airbender movie might show some nice cavalry. The cartoon had rhinoes, horse-birds and some big lizards.

What we really need is some motherfarking bearbee cavalry.

Like bears, that are also bees. And people are riding on them.

Could you possibly be referring to the Bumblebear from explosm?
(I'm not linking it 'cos it'd be too bothersome to find and I'm lazy)

Actually I didn't even realize they'd done that.

But bearbees are different anyway.

It like has the stinger and stuff, but it also has 6 legs like a bee.

Except all of them are bear legs/arms. It uses four of them to fight things.

Like General Grevious.

Except these are bear bees.

And they can fly.

Yes.

Now imagine that but bigger and with people riding on them.

You haven't seen the bumblebear.
Apart from the amount of legs, it's a a lightly more accurate version of what you just described.
Accurate to your description, that is.
Yes.
BUMBLEBEAR!

I just started watching this video of a game I'd never heard of before.

It was called Zoids.

It's a game about giant robots that are also dinosaurs.

We need Zoid cavalry.

I can't decide which would be more awesome, people riding on the back of a giant robotic dinosaur, or a giant robotic person riding on the back of a giant robotic dinosaur.

Zoids are already ridden, if I'm not mistaken.

Driven, I believe.

But that's not as awesome.

Both have been done AGES ago, and probably several times at that. Dinoriders, Power Rangers etc.
