Batman Arkham Asylum demo
I heard it's coming out this week. Anyone going to play it?
Re: Batman Arkham Asylum demo
Nah, actually didn't look too great by my watch, all the fighting moves.

I'll try anything with Batman in it.
It's probably the main reason I got DC v MK
So yeah.

Cool! Didn't know they were making a demo! Definitely going to download it and try it out.
Re: Batman Arkham Asylum demo
i think i might as the comic is my favourite, it's really really funny and disgusting. A great combination of grant morrison's writing skills and dave mackean's creepy artwork. I fucking love that comic. The best batman comic ever made... Almost, as nothing can be compared to "The killing joke" and the joker's fabulous jokes.

Re: Batman Arkham Asylum demo
The game was definitely not meant to be played on a computer. The mouse moves extra slow with no setting to adjust it, it doesn't recognize my NVidia PhysX, and hitting Escape on the main screen replays the opening ads rather than quitting. To quit you have to hit start and then select exit. :\
Oh yeah, and once you play the game once, you can't go back and reset the graphics options (at least I haven't found a way).

Overall, 1-5 rating, Zhukov?

Hmm. Thanks.
Re: Batman Arkham Asylum demo
man I actually thought it would be good lol oh how I was horribly terribly mistaken... That demo was the epitome of Dumbed down. Although in its defense batman should mainly be aimed at 8year olds.
I'm extremely dubios as to how it was so bloody large a file seeing as they just repeated the same coridoor+room and 3 characters a bkzillion times. And OMG did they get monkeys to rig the characters?! The animations didnt go at all well.
And I'm done.... The main cause of my fire was due to it taking so long to download and then it was rubbish.

Huh. I'm really surprised at all of the dislike here. It was very linear in the beginning, but most of the demo was really the tutorial anyway, giving the player too many options would just confuse them at that point.
You're also missing the final room, which gives you a bunch of enemies with no direction on how to defeat them, then leaves you to your own actions. Leaving you with a choice to one end kind of reminds me of another game with a main character with tall ears that resembled an animal. If only I could remember the name of that game...
Obviously you guys didn't, but when I was playing it I actually felt like I was playing a Batman game. Not a game with Batman in it, but a Batman game.
tl;dr- I liked it.
