Man, I hate FPSes, because I always get an adrenalin high when I play them, and stuff jumps out from behind walls, and I almost sh*t myself...

But, that's just me...

The last time I was actually *scared* by a game (rather than surprised)...

I dunno... Maybe it was Resident Evil? But I played that when I was 11... so...

Alone in the dark was the scariest game, if you were talking about scary games.
I can't remember my first game but it was probabbly something on the apple or interton.

I'm getting F.E.A.R. in the next few days. I hear it's pretty freaky, but haven't played it before.

I just finished playing Prey two days ago. Completed it in one day. Started playing at 2 p.m. and finished around 3 or 4 a.m. It was pretty dang creepy, particularly at the start when it's all new to you and you see humans being grinded my special harvesting machines and crap and you're like "Eugh...what the heck is this place?"

With a name like F.E.A.R it'd suck if it wasn't freaky.

Suppose. It's supposed to have a really chilling and freaky atmosphere anyway.

That is a lot of unnecessary swearing, could you please keep it cleaner?

I forgot, if you want a truly scary game, look for Call of chtulu: Dark corners of earth

Alright sorry I didn't realise I was doing it, it just comes out naturally. I'll try to keep it cleaner in future.

System Shock 2 scares the hell out of me. Just leaning around corners in that game is freaky. I still haven't beaten that game because it's too creepy and I have to stop.

FEAR is like a scary movie, the enemies are not scary at all, it's those dark hallways where the game is just messing with you by jumping up from behind you or crawling across the wall or running out when the lights flicker out.

Condemned Criminal Origins was hella scary...i never even beat the demo...dam that game messes with ya...for example...you can watch an enemy go into a door and slam it shut...then when you go to open the door and kill him, he (or another enemy) will jump out behind you! AGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I downloaded and completed the demo for Condemned on my XBox 360 and it was kinda scary. Not too scary though.

Yeah I agree with Zantalos's comment about F.E.A.R.
From what people have said about it, there's different areas in the game, a seperate one for fighting, a seperate one for these scary sequences with this little girl who seems like she's taken straight out of The Ring, etc. etc.

I never played System Shock 2 but I heard about it. Isn't there like these enemies that are mutated monkeys with part of their brains exposed? Euuuugh..

Ren, if you didn't think Condemned was scary then you definitely won't think FEAR is scary. It's not even creepy at all with the lights off at night, at least for me - the most it ever does is have your hud crackle and make strange noises, or have objects move around by themselves.

Doom 3 was scary for the first few hours, but I stopped playing because it got sooooo mind-numbingly boring. I'd say the scariest most recently made game would be some parts in STALKER. I nearly peed myself while fighting some monsters, like a floating fireball or the huge waves of zombies, not really out of "shock value" fear but more "I really don't want to die" fear.
