most animated movies based on games turn out good i guess, but any movie made by Uwe Boll based on a game will suck forever and all eternity.

That is why we all press the back button, to skip the cut-scenes.

Jesus H. BurgerKing. I watch films to enjoy them. Get a little  here, get a little  there. Don't shit your pantalones because the movie's not your style, just go and find something you like. Savvy?

At the time of this post, it is 417 days, 5 hours and 2 minutes to the predicted release date of HP7 1. :D
Nov 19, I believe.

YOUR OPINION BURNS MY PRETENTIOUS SOUL.
Actually screw ails at pretentiousness, Doom sucked in every aspect, I grew up on shoddy Arnie actions enjoying the hell out of them!

...and it was nowhere near the first, so nyah...

You'd think producers would learn from their mistakes (although if we learned anything from this one it's that we should stop making movies all together, it's that bad).
Renegade_Turner wrote:I can't wait to see how this Shadow Of The Colossus film turns out. I'm interested to see how in the fucking world they're going to make an hour and a half film about Shadow Of The Colossus, I really am. That's genuine interest too, I think it'll be something new as far as film adaptations go, especially since there was little to no character development and as far as plot goes it was really just a standard vehicular plot for the propelling of all the visual artistry and atmosphere of the game.
I'm afraid it's being written by the same idiot who wrote the new Chun Li film (the one where they changed everything about all the characters, made her a pianist and made Neal McDonough play Bison.

So. I imagine we're screwed on that front.

I think that movies should only be made of plot-oriented games. Trying to ass-pull a plot for a game-play oriented game has never worked.

Then again, since Left4Dead was made to look like a movie in the first place, I think a short film could be made about that one (not a long one).

that would be quite a good idea

and that way valve could actually give us a back story to the zombies

rather than just crazy gibberish on the walls and making us use our brains to peice all of it together into the backstory

to valve: WE DONT WANNA USE OUR FRIKKEN BRAINS, WE JUST WANNA PICK UP SOME PIPE BOMBS AND BLOW S**T UP!!

Or perhaps Valve are cunning enough to know that players take more notice of the subtle hints then they would when they're told EVERYTHING THEY'D NEVER KNOW IF THEY WERE IN A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.

Making Left4Dead into a movie seems too much like a circular act, in my opinion. It was made to resemble a movie, a movie about a game made to resemble a movie? That'd wrap back around to being a cliche that Left4Dead does a wonderful job of parodying.

I'd like to see a movie made to flow like a game, that wasn't based on anything else. I don't mean Gamer, because that's got more of a Running Man edge to it, and if that's the best idea the industry has for making a movie around then they're in serious trouble.
