I remember there was a MacAddict disk infected with the quicktime autorun virus that would infect you as soon as you put the disc in your drive.

It was a long time ago. In the following issue they had a large apology, so you would know.

Nope. I can't even get it to install, it keeps asking for the disc midway through. I havent tried Daemon Tools on XP yet though.

Edit: I mounted the image so now what?

Ok, I'm gonna assume you have ROC + TFT both fully installed now.

1) Remove ROC/TFT CDs from CD-ROM drive.
2) Launch TFT.
3) Update your version via connecting to Battle.Net.
4) Enjoy~

Just make sure you keep that image mounted every time you want to play Warcraft III. You don't need your ROC/TFT CDs anymore, unless you format your XP and need to reinstall Warcraft III.

I need to install ROC/TFT, but I keep getting a message, which once googled, supposedly means I have a copied disc. Also, the ROC disc has a small hairline scratch. Can I install ROC with Daemons Tools?

Ok, just spill the beans. I'm not part of Blizzard. Did you buy your ROC/TFT?

Technically, you CAN install ROC/TFT with Daemon Tools but you will need the appropriate (700MB) image file. Which I highly doubt you have/can get.

Hm. So your ROC won't install? Or TFT?
What's the exact error message?

ROC won't install, I'll edit this post with the error message when I get around to it. I just noticed the disc has a small hairline scratch, but its really small and I don't think it should mess anything up.

I don't believe scratches in a disk are any more likely to cause failure on a windows machine than on a mac.
