Long story short- They should have kept the long story short.
If you decide to watch the sequels, watch them for the fights, but in my personal opinion they screwed over the story.

Dude, invertin, the first one isn't the best. All three of them together only create the cinematic masterpiece that they are. I personally think the first ones a little on the slow side. The seqeuls are the rare ones of their kind to Not fail.

The first matrix IS the best, that I am sure of. But the other two weren't the train wrecks of convoluted plots and unnecessary violence that they are usually described as. The first had more of a story element, but shouldn't every original focus most on the story? Otherwise there will be nothing to go on if they make a sequel. Besides, the story was spectacular, and had plenty of fighting and other intense scenes to keep interest, a perfect balance. The next two movies were good, but they seemed to have lost that perfect balance, plus sequels are always hard to compare to the original as by then, the background of the story isn't as surprising and fresh as before. But in the end they're still very good movies. I'd say definitely watch the first if you haven't, and try to watch the rest as well. Definitely watch the other two together though, I made the mistake of not seeing them both and it didn't go as great, lol.
Also, anyone else want to see Zombie Land?

haha Starship Troopers is awesome.
also the first Robocop, in the same extra cheese way. Who knew the Ford Taurus would be the car of the future?
no TV here, either. it's just a video monitor for dvd's and tapes. S'okay, though. I kill more time on the computer than I ever did flipping channels.

The Proposition - Favourite movie of all time. Makes me proud to be Australian, in a sick not really kind of way.

some war movies...
Full Metal Jacket was already mentioned.
Three Kings is really good. Like Hamish's the Proposition makes you proud to be an American in a sick not really sort of way.
The Hurt Locker. Some young men are crazy cowboys, some are just regular guys getting heavily damaged. Holy
