Yep, and contrary to popular and, in fact, medical belief, it is possible to become immune to mono. The odd part about my getting it though is that I hadn't been in contact with my GF or anyone I'd kiss really, nor was I in contact with a sick person... Then my GF took care of me for the few days (insisting that she wouldn't catch it from me even if she kissed me) and she didn't catch it, go figure... :|

I'm surprised you had it for so short a time really, most people I know have it for a few months anyway.

Sigh, i was meaning to point out that even if you were "on" this thread, you are "in" the forums ... since it shows that you're in a forum directory ...

(telling me blatantly to go home  ... sounded a little pretentious to me :P )

It's funny, because I went and looked in the dictionary and...
Dictionary wrote: Pretenious

Adjective
  • Claiming or demanding a position of distinction or merit, especially when unjustified.
  • Making or marked by an extravagant outward show; ostentatious.
  • Renegade_Turner
That's just uncanny

I said what I meant and I meant what I said: "Pretenious" is of course a contraction of "pretentious" and "tenuous", the latter meaning:
Dictionary wrote: Tenuous

Adjective
  • Long and thin, slender.
  • Having a thin consistency, dilute.
  • Having little substance, flimsy.
  • Renegade_Turner
This is beginning to scare me...

technically one could say that he got him by being substantial, or muscular as that too could be seen as not being thin, or even as being resilient as someone who is "thin" or "thin skinned" would be more likely to take offense.
