Converting .wmv to .swf?

Post by Starrz » Sun Dec 27, 2009 6:15 pm

Anybody know how to convert a .wmv file to a .swf file? I've googled it and tried mediaconvert.com. Nothing is working. :(

The nature of that kind of conversion isn't just a change in the encoding of a file. An .swf is a wrapper for a video, not a video type. Unless there's a specific tool online, the only way I can see it being possible would be to load up Flash 8, and import the video (you may have to convert it to an .avi first)

Edit: As an alternative, try one of these that claim to work: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&o ... mv+to+.swf

Always check for viruses, though.

No. EIthier theyre all demos with a watermark or theyre not working.

And I found one called "Free Video Flash Converter" which turned them into some crazy mystery file that can only be viewed by their own media viewer.

Just like IHOP. That was kinda funny, I gave it a 4 but I really would give it a 2 or 3.
