Stop that xD
That film had nothing to do with the character Sherlock Holmes we know from the books. Way too americanised.

Also why does my spellingchecker allow 'Sherlock', but not 'Holmes'?

Brilliant deduction, Dr. Moriar-- wait, what?

IMFO, the movie was closer to the books than it was to the TV show. So I actually had no problem with the differences because it was closer to the books than the shows, which I never watched/liked all that much.

That doesn't make it any more like the books. I thought it actually sucked. A lot. Who ever heard of Holmes beating the crap out of so many people?

That's what I mean. You're thinking of the original Sherlock. Don't.
If you just don't make any connection to books or series it's a fun film, says I.
But it doesn't do the 'real' Sherlock justice.

...what 'TV show'? o_0

Sherlock wasn't as much of a pussy as you might think. He knew fucking bartitsu. He was a bare knuckle fighter in the books.

That doesn't make the movie good, by no means, but Holmes was a dangerous dog.
