Is Valve winding us up for the release of Portal II ?!?

That is a large quantity of weirdness, for sure. Is it user-made for laughs, or viral marketing? I know the writing crew that works for valve is awesomely creative, but I'm not sure they really need to drum up interest... although why not score some very cheap publicity, especially if it's keeping us trembling fans entertained.

Wish I could play some of the vids on this 1982 Commodore IMac....

EDIT: I just read a bunch more of it... hmm. Well, time will tell, I guess.

also thought that it might be teasing hl2 ep3 since valve told us that Chell and Gordon will meet at some point

It has to be marketing, the entire thing was made using Steam updates.
