The purple text can have two impacts on the reader.
It could, with a bolder font and slightly brighter color, either make it more pleasant to the eyes which makes it easier to read, or give the impression of being a way to stick out of the crowd.

How the person reading it experience the post varies from person to person;
I, personally, think it would be "less annoying" to read one of Renegade's post than another post containing the same content but with regular font in it.
I appreciate that the post stick out and think it's OK.
However, another person might think of his post as ego-tripping and automaticly take the post as annoying, even if another post with regular font would seem OK to that person.
