Re: What's your opinion on this?
I believe in aliens, personally, but I have always believed in ghosts, and I always will.
Just a random little insight into my inner workings there for you.

I don't believe in aliens. I recognise the likelihood of there being aliens or, more correctly, the unlikelihood of earth being the only planet to contain sentient life.
I don't recognise any likelihood of the existence of ghosts. What would I base that on?

Re: What's your opinion on this?
Fair enough, a lot of people I know don't believe in ghosts, in fact, I don't even think Invertin does??...
Anyway, I would have coined you as somebody who believed in aliens, oh well, guess I was wrong. Meh

With Indiana Jones, it's not so much that Aliens are unbelievable, it's that they're an entirely different genre. You don't expect magic to show up in a science fiction, so you don't expect aliens to show up in a fantasy-ish thing.
I believe that there are aliens in space somewhere but it's incredibly unlikely that they've arrived on earth, or that they can ever possibly arrive here. The closest solar system is much too far for anything to get here without the ship being absolutely titanic just to contain the fuel necessary to get here, and none of the planets in our solar system are capable of sustaining life. I think a few moons can, but there's nothing there yet.
As for ghosts... I believe that some ghost-like phenomena do actually happen, but not that they are the dead trying to send us messages.

Where do people get these randomly-occurring fancies which they seem to have extracted from their anuses?

Re: What's your opinion on this?
Well, I heard about one case in Canada-land, where three bear hunters went missing for three months, and when they were found, they were half dead, lying naked in the forest. The police interrogated them, and the guys said that they were abducted by aliens, and probed and shit, and they had all of the internal injuries which go with the different sorts of abuse, and some of the things, they reckon could not have been done with human technology without cutting the open, messing with their innards, then sewing them back up again, and even then they probably would have died from the operation. But there were no scars, just all of the internal damage.
Weird huh?...
Not trying to sway you guys, just telling you about a little case in the news, I'll chat to my mother about it later so I can find when it was and possibly even link you guys to a site with info. Although I will try to not link you to a conspiracy site with all that "they're here and they stole my brains" shite.

The only one of those 75 remakes I'm interested in is Teen Wolf. BEST. MOVIE. EVER.
EDIT: Also Battle Royale, that series was fucking brutal.

No, in fact, I most certainly did not. I asked a rhetorical question.

Re: What's your opinion on this?
Or...we could pile it on with all the other movies that aren't coming out.
Remember the Halo movie? Something like a $50 mil budget and Peter Jackson directing? Cancelled.
Gears movie? Cancelled.
I doubt that Mass Effect will come out either.

Re: What's your opinion on this?
Well I didn't hear about the gears movie being cancelled, and the script was never finalised for the Halo movie, so the budget went to District 9...
With any luck, it will be released, and with even more luck, it'll be freaking brilliant, if not, I'll be pissed, and I'll personally take my letter of complaint to them, and staple it to their faces!
