Well our Imperial system comes from England, where else, so it makes sense that there would be some leftover imperial units of measurement. Football/Soccer is quite old. I do wish we would switch to metric though. It would be a pain at first, but it would just make things easier in the long run. We were so close to doing it a while ago.

As for your alternative units of measure Bryan, I noticed them, and let them scroll past the screen. Between everyone in this forum, someone using angstroms to measure people is not in any way out of the ordinary.

I was getting semi annoyed by using both imperial and metric units at the same time ... engineering habit I guess. So I thought I would try to annoy you by diversifying unit lengths. :P

Any longer and I would have started using much more abstract units of length such as BTU/Newton

Every time you mention my name, a small wave of panic flows through my body as I think to myself "Oh god they know who I am!" before I realized I've already told you.

It definitely depends on the store, but I was in a Ralphs the other day (A large supermarket chain here) and I'd say the top shelf reached 8-9 feet. Easily.

Never been a fan of fixed wheel bikes. Still, I'm lazy, so I prefer to get up to speed and coast, not have to keep pedalling.

Never even heard of fixie bikes. Other than in the hipster song.

Does it make a big difference what kind of bike someone has though? He has a bike you don't like, who cares.
