Actually, it isn't so much the show itself as it is the fans who constantly pester me to watch it. I file them in the same category as missionaries "out to convert the masses who haven't felt the grace of [insert object of conversion here]."

I didn't like Lost, I didn't like Battlestar Galactica, nor do I like MMOs or religion. It's all a matter of personal preference. I'm not against receiving recommendations, but the incessant "you must watch/play/believe this no matter what" even after I try some and decide I don't like it pisses me off to no end.

While I respect your opinion, Fournine. This thread was for those who are fans.. But anyway. I understand, and I am not willing to argue.

I didn't think the ending gave the series justice...That was an "everything ends in a white light, and everything is happy and great" piece of garbage.

I just read Jack London's "The People of the Abyss" - actually, "read" isn't the right verb to use, since I listened to a recording in the free-domain by a volunteer at Librivox.org - because reading with acids around isn't good form for scientists.
It's quite significant for today's world as well, I think.

Basically, Jack London dresses himself up as a homeless person and proceeds to live in London's eastend for a summer in 1902. He did this to "see how they live, and what they live for."

Hate lost, watched some of it, thought it ridiculous, polar bear on a tropical island?! and they lost me a long time before even that!
