A Significantly Less Humble Indie Bundle
I haven't seen it mentioned on the Forum yet so I'm assuming it hasn't been covered, but have you heard about the internet scam which the Give What You Want Bundle has turned out to be?

I find it hard to trust him given he answered some questions with "no comment".

Re: A Significantly Less Humble Indie Bundle
I think it's just generally very dodge. I think they may have agreed to it because they were smaller games. The guy was claiming at the start to other developers he was trying to recruit that Sleep Is Death was already part of it, but Jason Rohrer was apparently never part of it whatsoever. It's just very scammy, or "scummy" as that Jochem guy keeps saying.

I ain't trusting my money to him. Rather buy directly from the developers, that way you can be sure your money ends up where it should be.

Re: A Significantly Less Humble Indie Bundle
The only way I'd possibly agree to this is if I suddenly started hating one of the developers.
Which is unlikely because they're awesome.

Wow, the guy doesn't handle the situation well. He should probably not do interviews at all.

As this money is going to your PayPal account, can you understand that this seems rather like a scam to trick people who were simply trying to be charitable?
Yeah, nice move.Jochen Kolbe wrote:What?I dont know what you mean!

I'm a bit confused, who's the bad guy(s) hear? Dare i said those who held the event (Wolfire) or someone else?
Re: A Significantly Less Humble Indie Bundle
The discussion here isn't about the bundle of indie games that got 1 000 000$ and had Lugaru, Gish, Aquaria & co.Catmentra wrote:I'm a bit confused, who's the bad guy(s) hear? Dare i said those who held the event (Wolfire) or someone else?
The discussion here is about a bundle of indie games that was organized soon after the Wolfire bundle made lots of money, that had various games whose owners may or may not have actually given permissions to sell their games. This second bundle, which is significantly less humble, isn't organized by Wolfire but by a German guy who might or might not be accused of internet fraud(s).
Re: A Significantly Less Humble Indie Bundle
wow... the whole point of the humble indie bundle was that there was no middle man, since it was organized by the devs.
This here is a great example how having such a middle man can lead to less-than-ideal situations...

This...this is just downright pathetic. I wish it would have turned out better, though. I've wanted to get Aztaka for a while now, but couldn't justify the original price point.
Oh wait, it's down to $15 now on D2D...
