I have over the past 16 bajillion years spent much time thinking about peoples strange names and avatars. I have decided therefore to ask everyone to chip in and say what they're name represents if anything and why they chose that picture. Really the only reason I want to do this is because What the fuck does wilbefast mean?

I mean yes Its Will Be Fast. But thats a kind of catchphrase not a username. And the blue devil thing Waddafuckizdatshiz?!

Picture : it was originally a Ninja for my username Ninjaface which I use on Steam. However being this a website mainly devoted to ninja rabbits I thought thought the ears were a given.

- Its another girl. From the same game as above.
- Headphones are awesome.
- This is my expression when I read what most of you write.
- Its a mouth. Of a girl.
- Its Red Riding Hood. Holding her head.

- This one never actually fit in the proper avatar size. But I tried to get it to work multiple times.
- Honestly, one of my favorites. Stare at it intently.


I've used more avatars than this over the years I've been here, but I can't find them all anymore.

It's not an interesting story, but what the hell, here goes...

When using the multiplayer function of a certain open source, turn-based strategy game, I was prompted to enter a screen name. Given the nature of the game, I decided to name myself after a general. The obvious choice was something like Alexander or Napoleon, but they were a bit too obvious. So I used the name of a successful Russian WWII commander instead, one Field Marshal Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov. And thus the online me was born.

Incidentally, naming myself after a successful general did not make me any better at strategy games. Pity.

As for the avatar, it's a severely cropped version of this:

It's an orc. I feel that it accurately represents my appearance and personality. That is to say, it is ugly and grumpy.

My image is the current image due to my still ongoing obsession with Mass Effect.

I did change my image for a very short time to a weeping angel, but I just didn't think it looked right, so I changed it back to the Salarian within the hour.

Oh, by the way, I'm 90% sure that Wilbefast's avatar is the Cheshire Cat character from a game called American McGee's Alice.

I've seen videos of that game...Terrifying...

name: underthedeep - me and my friend in highschool had a folk/drugrock band called Explorers of the Deep. kinda a play off that.

I found my pic on another forum. It was a weird pics thread. Then I drew a pink beard on it.

Really? Cause I totally thought that Washing machine had grown a pink fungal infection.

I made my name up back in 2001 ... I was about 14, needless to say I regret the name >_> ...
