my guess would be that americans tend to forget ~how long a meter really is, and would rather just measure with their feet.

I think it's been a given for some time that the metric system is a more logical system of measurement.

And if they forgot that a metre was 100 centimetres, couldn't they just look it up?

That would probably be too much work for the average United Statesian.

Politics in the USA is all about presenting the most lazy-sounding, easy, straight-forward solution to the ever-diminishing middle class, with the media to back up your ideals, and the corporations to back up your budget. Occasionally the more traditionalist of us will go out of our way to uphold the family honor and feel like a patriot, but most of the time, that's asking too much. Better to use people to do the government's bidding without consent and to keep them isolated, so no realistic idea of what's going on can reach the average Martha and Willis.

Willis? Really? That's the most typical American name I could think up? Help!

what about Bob? and frankly the whole patriotism thing is bs, family honor on the other hand is important.

Oh yeah, Bob, that's very stereotypical. I edited that one in.

I do believe I said "sounds cool" not great. :p I totally agree though, there are some amazing other sounding guitars in the world. And if I could afford one, (or didn't have friends who play better than me anyway,) I would totally get something better. It will happen one day.

There's muuuch more snow now as well, like 2-3dm.

On the second last picture it looks like you have a dead cat as a roommate.
But it's resurrected on the last one.. So that's fine.

BTW, looking at that Fu Hok of yours.. Someone should make a Ninja Anton Fighting mod for OG! :)

I miss the snow... it's really the worst thing about living in LA. Every year I have to go visit my parents to at least get a little bit of snow!

And as far as fighting mods, I (like many others) am excited to create custom fighting mods. I really want to see what I can do to animate a full kung fu set. This is a very famous drawing of the entire Fu Hok form:
FuHok.jpg
The spot I'm at in my picture is the third from bottom row, eighth from the right. (The form moves from right to left, top to bottom.)

Ultimately though, it would be so much easier to motion capture the whole form than to try and key frame animate it... I guess we'll have to see what happens. (Anyone know a good FREE mo-cap studio?)

what does money have to do with honor? or living on your own? you're still part of the family, and always will be (unless you get disowned but even then....)
