Well, music software... (remember, I work professionally...) so I use a lot of sample libraries, things like
East West, which I use for my main orchestral libraries are between $500-$1000 per library (depending on
when you buy it) and it's crucial to have many of those libraries to create products for big companies. Then all of the DAWs that I have run about $600 a piece...
Protools,
Digital Performer,
Live,
Logic, etc... then music notation stuff... like
Finale
Ultimately, I just have so much software that it really adds up. (Not that the hardware isn't expensive either... I'm still feeling the pain from buying that new computer... but it's made my life SO much easier...)

At the time of this picture being taken they were not. Only got the correct cabling a month ago. Got the wrong cabling and took a while to get new ones. Was running a Sapphire HD4850X2 before to use all screens for a while.
They are now one resolution except the 4th which is just extended. The three is in Eyefinity mode - portrait. I can move them to landscape for older games that does not support eyefinity. Luckily Overgrowth works in this mode just fine.
Current specs:

The 4th screen is just for afk mining in EVE or swapping with my VR920 when I do AR coding.

You should get pre-order. It's super worth it. Seeing how the game development process unfolds is quite unique. I am also following another game in alpha though their output per week is much less and also less published/cool as Overgrowth.

What? Awesome!
I saw what they have been working on for the orchestral scores and it was impressive. I also have a slight musical background (when I was young) so I am able to appreciate what they/you had done for the game in the form of story/emotion support.

wow... you did find me... Yeah I wrote music and helped with orchestrations, and mockups and crazy things like that. Gordy Haab, one of the main composers, and in that shot with me, is one of my best friends

That's crazy! I didn't know about that. The only possible MMO's I'd ever consider buying are Fallout Online and The Old Republic.
