I don't play TF2 so I wouldn't know, but if that's true, I sort of imagine Valve were PC developers to begin with, so they give their love towards that platform.

You DO know the Subscriber Agreement, since you've read it all before playing hl2, right?

When anyone makes a statement, we assume that he does not mean it illegally.
We do care if you downloaded a pirated version or not. When you bragging about piracy we lose all respect of you, even if it was tiny to start with.

The only reason xbox exists at all is because of Halo, and it's only decent.

While I used to have very little respect for him, he's recently improved his standing in my eyes. The fact that he paid for the game doesn't make the Steam circumvention legal - but I don't think it's nearly as bad as straight-out pirating a game. It's like using a no-CD crack to avoid damaging your CDs or DVDs, or copying music from CDs to your computer and then to an mp3 player.

Oh, and in related news consoles are much more popular than PCs. There's about 1.2 billion or something computers in the world right now, as compared to... well, here.

So not only are there more consoles in the world period, you also have to remember that most people do not play games extensively on their computers. Maybe 20%? Even that is being generous.

Yeah, no. He bought the game in the past. Pirating it later doesn't lose the game maker any profit- it's not like now, Valve won't get any money from Renegade that they normally would have gotten.

I didn't brag about piracy. I acknowledged that what I've done can technically be defined as piracy. However, the moral dilemma is absent in my case.

Also despite you taking responsibility for the whole community by saying "we do care", it appears from subsequent posts by Endoperez and Ragdollmaster that the community generally agrees with my views. Good girl.

I wouldn't expect you to have respect for anyone over the internet, so the fact that I now have some respect is exceptional.
