I really, really, really wish people would stop saying "dragon-born" with a straight face.

It makes me picture the guy in the trailer axe-ing his way out of an egg.

It was amusing the first time, best not to repeat yourself.

Yeah, he was semi-amusing at first, now he's just grating on my nerves every time I hear his voice or see his face...

I do that often too...I rehash plenty of jokes, the trick is to not use them to the same people twice so it seems like it was quick wit rather than rehearsed gags. =P

Yeah, Tobuscus was awesome back when he did Brotherhood, and there were a few other gems in there (Bioshock Infinite, Halo Reach, Tron Legacy, et al); but this Skyrim one is utter shit. Not much rhythm, boring lyrics, and so forth. Felt really weak, especially considering that the real trailer was action-y and playing epic music the entire time.

Just watched the Skyrim one before coming on here funnily enough, and I gotta say, I agree with you, although when I can be bothered to watch the Cute/Win/Fails, it keeps me easily amused.

In Daggerfall I had a Breton that regularly punched ghosts and werewolves in the face.
In Morrowind I had a Kahjiit martial artist.
In Oblivion I cried myself to sleep, given how I hated melee in general.

That's a pretty easy mod, but would be cool, I didn't actually test it (too lazy to install Oblvion, lul). Anyway, yeah, a good hand-to-hand combat in Skyrim would be nice.

Yeah, I have that mod, it helps at low levels but when everyone has elven armor and stuff hand to hand is back to useless again.

Thanks for the link, but the problem with Oblivion is that I hate the entire combat system, not just hand-to-hand.
Even at lower levels it feels like you never do enough damage per-hit, and I find it pretty absurd to hit a guy with a 2-hander, see him lose a sliver of health, stumble, hit him with a power attack and see him lose slightly more health, but still less than 2% total.
Then there's the balancing, the almost identical character models, the horrid AI, economy that doesn't work and so on.
And I did try some of the balancing mod like Obscuro and co., but it simply makes the game harder at lower levels, while at higher it still feels like I'm using a maul to gently massage my opponent back.

The combat system was good in oblivion but the game was plagued by balance issues.
You never do enough damage to kill anyone in one hit. Almost everyone takes more than 5 hits to go down. This can be especially annoying when they have a healing spell or potion with them.
