Intel HD Graphics - has some flickering and I believe low frame rate.
Also, I don't know if this is normal because it's alpha but a lot of things seem to cause the program to instantly crash.

Odd shading, makes my character have a 360 shadow as if the days were going by every second.

Other computer specs.
HP G62 Notebook PC
4 GB RAM
64 Bit Operating System
Intel Core i3 CPU M 370 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz

Each level seems to bring about different but similar problems...
Here is a video of the Red Deserts odd lighting problems:

The Painted Desert has similar issues:

Patchy Highlands with it's leafed plants can bring my frame rate down to 1fps.

Make sure you put GeForce GT 445M in the working section.

Doesn't work on Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family, ya, pretty obvious I guess :l

@edit
Checked on second computer, also nothing: ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series. Both don't work with shaders :c

A lot of people say in alpha the GTX460 1gb would crash the windows7 driver
I just bought the game at 125, and it looked just fine, ran just fine, whatever...
but sometimes it does just randomly crash. It's not even just after like 1-2 minutes of Rabbot mode, I'm not sure what causes it. Sometimes its 30 seconds of gameplay and sometimes 30 minutes... It's completely random, but it is very playable otherwise. Doesn't bother me that much though.

Windows 7 64bit
Geforce GT240 1024MB
Forceware 258.96

Working smoothly so far. Windowed default resolution.
8*CSAA and 8*Anisotropic forced in drivers, no issues.

*note, actually I do remember impostors in the forest map not bieng removed when moving close to them, so they would be visibly intersecting with the model and showing dithering/shimmering (the faux-filtering kind). But I guess it's just an alpha bug.

GTX 275 does the job

Post by Meral Harbes » Tue Apr 12, 2011 1:09 pm

Hi there

I've just started playing around with the alpha 126. Everything looks as it should on my GeForce GTX 275. I'm running Windows 7 64bit here.

Greetings

Meral

I have:
nVIDIA GeForce GT 130M (laptop)
Windows 7 64-bit - 4 GB RAM
I've tested on Alpha 124/125/126

And it works mostly fine. Many objects at the screen at once causes huge fps-drops though, but I doubt that's something unique to my computer.

Anyone know if the Nvidia 460 GTX card works on the newer builds? I've had this pre-ordered for a while but have not ran a build since I have a 460 :(

Have you downloaded the latest drivers?
My brother had some trouble with his 460 untill he updated his drivers to the latest version.
