Can anybody else imagine a totally awesome star wars mod for this game? I mean, I think Overgrowth has the engine capable of realizing some amazing jedi combat without all the weird arcadey stuff in the commercial LucasArts games that are out.
I'm thinking like ultra realistic too, where everybody's like Bzzeww bzewww whoosh kapaph! And if you get hit you're DONE.
Or a matrix mod like "TheSpecialists" was for Half life.
These would be awesome too if there was an infrastructure for projectile weapons in engine. Does anyone think there's a good chance of David implementing crossbows/regular bows/blowguns or something that could someday be easily turned into blaster rifles or dual .50 cals in the modding community?
I'm posting this because I'm excited about the modding potential in OvG, and I wanted to see if anyone else had some cool ideas.
Not to say that I'm not excited for vanilla OvG! I am SO excited about vanilla gameplay.

Myes, not to worry, I think by the time OG's complete we'll be swimming in mario, starwars and who knows what else type of mods.
Though if I had to pick to favourite ideas, it'd prob'ly be this one as a runner-up to the Oni mod that's going on.

I think a gun mod would make OG the best game EVER! lol rabbits with guns... or better yet a Bugs Bunny mod where you hunt Elmer Fudd

Guns like that? I'm working on it, although I have classwork to do as well, which tends to crowd modding out.
