Bug reporting station
Re: Bug reporting station
I don't know if the bug is already describe here. If you hold right click on a corpse, and you press "f" to shoot lasers, the corpse flies away and pulls the player.

Intel 4 HD Card not working on Overgrowth
Hey guys! I recently bought overgrowth but there were a few MAJOR graphics bugs... Like all objects are invisible and my character (and all other people) looks like a circus mirror, with my arm in my brain, and ALL the shadow textures are just following me. I know this game can be the best it can be, so I hope you guys fix the Intel 4 HD Card (and possibly other cards) not working on the game. Thank You !

[PLEASE READ] *Apparently a common mac problem*
So I have just downloaded the game and I can't really make this descriptive, but here we go. I see multiple people with this problem and it all leads back to the 10.5.8 OSX on Mac. Basically, what happens is I select a level/challenge. All is well until this shows up: "Loading all data in advance.."
This causes an instant crash. Here are the specs from inside my hwreport.txt
Report version: 2
MEM: Total memory: 4096 MB
MEM: Free memory: 156 MB

Not sure if this helps. If I don't get any attention here which I really hope I do since the last ones I saw got no attention at all as I see it. I will send in a bug repot and if all else fails I will make a thread. I'll let this sit here for a day and then I will take more action. Right now I'm looking through the config and such looking for a fix. ANY help would be appreciated. In case this gets no attention here are some emoticons to encourage people to look at this.

I am still unable to start up the game.Sinnveyr wrote:I don't know if there's a solution for this already, but posting anyway.
Happened when I updated to 1.89, can't run it on full screen either.

Except now it doesn't say "Overgrowth.exe has stopped working", instead it just stays at the grey screen and nothing happens.

Re: Bug reporting station
I have just finished downloading a193, and I noticed that the Challenge ending screen doesn't appear anymore. Is this behavior intended or is it a bug?
Re: Bug reporting station
press "T" to bring it up and "T" again to make it disappear. It is like that I think because it was laggy for a lot of people. it was added in alpha 192.maddin45 wrote:I have just finished downloading a193, and I noticed that the Challenge ending screen doesn't appear anymore. Re: Bug reporting station
I had a problem with the linux installation file for a192. There is a topic nearby about this problem.
The first line of the file is #!/bin/sh, so when the script gets executed, /bin/sh is used. On my Linux Mint /bin/sh is linked to /bin/dash, but dash can't execute the file. /bin/bash however can, so if the first line were #!/bin/bash, there wouldn't be the problem. Ofc, if bash isn't installed on a system, there will be another problem, but it's almost never the case. Besides, "/bin/bash: no such file or directory" message is more helpful than "Can't open ./overgrowth-a192-linux.sh".
I don't know if it's a nixstaller bug or the first line can be changed, but if it can be changed, it better be. Mint and Ubuntu both have /bin/sh linked to dash and afaik both have bash installed out of the box. Those 2 are the most popular and "user-friendly" distros, therefore they have more users with less linux skills and knowledge, who are less capable of fixing the problem by themselves.

Re: Bug reporting station
In the a193 on the mac the character/camera movement seems to be constantly pulling forward and to the left at a great speed despite no buttons being pressed. it seems to do this in most scenarios and restarting did not help.
Basically cannot play anything as my character is always trying to go forward and slightly to the left. if I hold down the backwards and right buttons the character stops, but that obviously makes me a sitting duck
Edit: by "most scenarios" I mean all the ones I have tried.
