Bug reporting station
Re: Bug reporting station
Zikel, you can try and update your graphics card drivers, maybe they help.

I updated to 310.90, still had the issue.Timbles wrote:^last wrote:Zikel, you can try and update your graphics card drivers, maybe they help.
The issue disappears when I disable post effects, but I like post effects

Re: Bug reporting station
All files attached. Game crashes when loading a map/challenge.I get this when starting Overgrowth "Write directory path file contains unicode characters, which Overgrowth might not handle correctly yet."
I would appreciate a reply, thanks.

Re: Bug reporting station
Your problem is your windows user name.
You see this line C:/Users/Αντρέας/Documents/Wolfire/Overgrowth/
You have to make a new windows user without non-English characters or special characters. After that log in with this new account and run the game. Oh and renaming your current account don't work.

Re: Bug reporting station
Upon further testing, the problem is with the post_night GLSL shader.Zikel wrote:Weird graphical screen glitch, where the entire screen, at night time, has flickering colors.
I believe this is the night-time "noise" effect. Here's a screen.
I play smooth 60fps, and even with this error the game stays 60fps. The game is otherwise perfect in all other circumstances (except for when ragdoll and multiple AI are in effect, game frames drop as expected)

Re: Bug reporting station
When i start overgrowth it says Overgrowth.exe is not working.
Re: Bug reporting station
I'm getting "error failed to buffer data" on loading some maps and GIF error crash outs randomly.
Re: Bug reporting station
Easy fix: Create a new user. I had this problem. Its because you have a unicode folder you can not find (or can find). If you caun't find it make a new user. If you can delete it. Then run overgroowth again. It is nothing to do with your overgrowth game though.wertandrew wrote:All files attached. Re: Bug reporting station
I accidentally updated to alpha 195 before updating the sumlauncher to 2.1.6. Now whenever I try and launch overgrowth it crashes straight-away. Is there any way for me to fix this issue?
*EDIT: im running on mac osx 10.6.8

From the SUMLauncher (after updating it!), go to File->Re-Update Current Alpha.meteormuncher wrote:I accidentally updated to alpha 195 before updating the sumlauncher to 2.1.6. Now whenever I try and launch overgrowth it crashes straight-away. Is there any way for me to fix this issue?

Re: Bug reporting station
Since the latest update (195):
![Image](http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/3534/overgrowthscreenshot000o.jpg)
All the leaves are invisible. They still have an effect, though. So I end up falling over or slowing down and I don't know where I can go safely.
EDIT: Forgot to post the error messages that are related to the second issue. On Seaside Cliffs I get the following:
![Image](http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1995/planterrors.jpg)
The lower one shows up once I click continue.
After clicking continue on the second one the level starts, without visible leaves on bushes or trees.
EDIT:
I had a look at the plant.vert file and this is what it says: There don't seem to be any values for CALC_REL_POS and CALC_TEX_COORDS, which seems to be what the error message says. I don't really know how these files work. Can someone who does not get this error have a look at his file and see if it looks the same?
EDIT:
I just uninstalled the game and installed version 194. Everything was normal. No error messages anywhere and the bushes and trees were visible in the game.
Without changing anything I updated to 195 and as soon as I loaded the same map that worked fine before the plant error occurred again. So this is definitely a bug of the latest Alpha.
- I cannot write anything into the bar used to load custom maps, which is a shame, since I am working on one. Well, was working on one... SOLVED BY 196
- Parameters like sliders: same issue. I cannot write anything anywhere. SOLVED BY 196
- Trees and bushes now look like this for me (image taken in Tree Canyon):

Re: Bug reporting station
I don't get the bushes bug when I play on that level, but I do get the same error when trying to load patch highlands. I also can't write in parameters such as hotspots and character parameters, and the custom level bar in the main menuEPR89 wrote:Since the latest update (195):
