So what year will the full release be out?

I know this game has been in development for a long time now but it is still in alpha! I would like to know what year they plan on finishing it because progress is slow. I really love the game so far though

The plan is to release it when it's done.

The only "plan" right now is to approach beta towards the end of the year. But that is not set in stone. They have no fixed schedule.

Overgrowth wont be finish any sooner, we're still in Alpha, not even Beta, and Wolfire only has 4 employees. so yeah, if i were you, i'd never think about its full release for now...just enjoy the game as much as you can.

When I'm writing a story, I don't ask myself "Okay, when do I plan on completing this..."

I don't ask myself, "How many chapters will it have...?"

I don't ask myself anything. I do one thing: type. I only need the amount of chapters to complete my story; if it takes twenty, I do twenty. If it takes fifty, I do fifty. There is no "set plan" for me when writing, I just need to do it, do it right, and make it an enjoyable story.

Same case with Overgrowth. It will take as long as it needs to in order to make it a good game.

That's the great thing about developing stuff independently. There is no publisher constantly reminding you about how you need to speed things up to justify their financial support. You can do your own thing.
