Multiplayer
I just wanna the thoughts of players who own the game and their opinion of having multiplayer in the game and whether or not if it should be in the game as official(supported by Wolfire)by full release or should not considering latency, lag, servers as combat is fast pace.Just wanna know yours guys thoughts.
Re: Multiplayer
Personally I think it's crucial for the future of the game. Modding community will really take off with it. Will be the ultimate sandbox. But I know David is definitely not committed to it. So we'll see.

Re: Multiplayer
Yes, there is a mod. People can contribute or come up with ideas on how to make it better on this Github page.

Re: Multiplayer
Too bad we can not host his part .. I think it would be more convenient.
It would be cool if Wolfire Game made a multi mod peculiar to him: p

Re: Multiplayer
The OGMP mod lets you host a server yourself. Just takes some compiling and firewall setup to get it working, and then you have to convince people to show upVortex07 wrote:Too bad we can not host his part .. I think it would be more convenient.

Re: Multiplayer
Multiplayer would be a great addition to this already great game, they could have different game modes like player vs player or players vs npcs. I think it would be great.
Re: Multiplayer
does hosting it on a non business isp matter? I host my own web server for testing my website with php and such but i can't have to much traffic or my isp could sue me for not using commercial internet package instead of a "home" package.merlyn wrote: The OGMP mod lets you host a server yourself. That said, if your ISP sues you for hosting your own game server, you've got a really bad ISP. Plenty of games do peer-to-peer hosting setups, and the traffic would look roughly the same, unless you're trying to host a public server for absolutely anyone to join, and it gets super popular and packed.
