posing a corpse

Post by IMWP » Fri May 18, 2018 12:44 pm

So I'm trying to pose a static corpse by changing the static character object's pose in blender but I have no idea how to do it.

You can make and pose corpses in the editor. That's probably the easiest way to do almost what you want, see how here: https://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/Edit ... awn_Corpse

However, if you still want it to be a static object, here's an overview on how you do that:
  1. Load one of the rigged blender models you can find in ../Overgrowth/Data/BlendFiles/ or load and rig one of the .obj files for the model you want to pose
  2. Switch to pose mode on the armature and pose it as desired
  3. Apply the armature modifier on the model
  4. Export the model as an .obj and create a static object using it, with the textures, shader etc. you want, find info on that here: https://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/3D_Objects
You'll want to look up tutorials on the steps you don't know how to do.
