i'm pretty sure that Lugaru would have received a T rating, even with the exploding debug wolves, regardless of era.
there's not much more they can do to get Overgrowth rated M unless they start allowing people to be cut in half or dismembered, etc, and even then, there are no guarantees, ESRB can be really weird about the line b/t T and M
