quote from Wolfire....
"Another advantage of this setting is that it allows us to avoid showing violence against humans, while using human-like martial arts. If we want to make a very violent game without trivializing human violence, using non-human characters is a good first step."
there we go....no humans.

Its not exactly a very common topic "Hey Lenny, how about those anthropomorphic rabbit pictures from my backyard, pretty cool right?"...

I think that having actual humans in the game would definitely be bad, but having a reference to a 'pre-curser' species would be pretty awesome. I think it was suggested before that there should be a ruin of a satellite, with the smudged words of NASA on it. Just references though, to add that extra bit of complexity to the background, nothing that actually puts it in concrete - ie "PROPERTY OF NASA, IF FOUND PLEASE RETURN IT TO US IN EARTH, AND BY US, I MEAN US THE HUMAN RACE. (who definitely exist)" Anyway. Yep

No, non, nein, nie, ne, na, ni, nani!
Why? I can't back up my subjective opinions with anything but subjective opinions. I guess it must be something to do with how I was brough up, which must have had something to do with how my parents were brought up, which must have had something to do with how their parents were brought up, ..., which must have had something to do with a monkey.
The monkeys made me do it!

Now, now Wil, there's no need for excuses. We all know its because you're really Schrödinger's cat.
