Guys, i will kill myself if next time you wont combine the rigged rabbit with procedural animations that the old Rabbot used (It was actually what i expected to see). But even with the basic animation, it looks just awesome!
Re: Unofficial alpha 63, weekly build
I think those animations are hard-coded or something. I'm pretty sure they existed before the animation tools! So it's a waste of time to write a system to read those few animations, instead of working on the animation editor.WingedWolf93 wrote:Guys, i will kill myself if next time you wont combine the rigged rabbit with procedural animations that the old Rabbot used (It was actually what i expected to see). I would, but Mine doesn't have a rabbit in it, which I'm guessing is what you're interested in.jo-shadow wrote:Yeah c'mon guys, throw us a bone here! D:Wilbefast wrote:WingedWolf93 wrote:it looks just awesome!

Thanks for the info, I'm sure it was very helpful, but I'm rather inept when it comes to such things, so for my own sake, I'll just wait until next week.nico wrote:Some (probably very helpful) stuff that went way over my head

You should make a real wolf too

There already is a wolf model. Once they've successfully hooked and animated one character, unless they have to change the workflow for some reason, it should be relatively easy to add other models.Devilsclub wrote:finally a real rabbit! have been waiting for this.

Awesome
Though you might want to do direct links rather than Youtube vids, this being classified and all. I dunno - Jeff?

Re: Unofficial alpha 63, weekly build
The only thing I'm worried about is that the alphas look really, really bad right now compared to what we want Overgrowth eventually to look like. I am afraid people will look at the videos and judge Overgrowth based on the development builds.
With that said, you are free to post the videos (there's no way I could stop people even if I wanted to), but just keep that in mind and maybe annotate the video to say SUPER EARLY DEV BUILD or something, to help combat the problem if you'd like.

A thing that might help is add some text to all official videos, like "Phoenix engine tech demo" or something like that. In the video or at least in the description.
For new people, you might as well add a little explanation about this on the OG page. It seems many people think they preorder to get the alpha's... but in fact, we've preordered the game, the alpha's and the SPF are bonuses.

If it's a good idea, go ahead and do it. It is much easier to apologize than it is to get permission.

Don't worry, guys.
The video is private and the only released link is here in the Secret Preorder Forum. :)
Notice the red areas:

The secret stays with us, forever! (Well.. untill the game releases)
However... Youtube administration may look at it, but I don't think they could care less :P

Haha, I thought of that before I put it up so that if The Team had something against videos being put up of their Alphas, I could easily remove it without any unwanted footage being released. ;)
Kudos to you though, for I did not know that you could typ #t= at the end of a Youtube-clip to play it at a certain point in the timeline. :)
