Post by wolfbrother9393 » Tue Feb 22, 2011 6:48 pm

I've made two platforming maps that are now working.

They weren't working before but that's been fixed.

Nice! I especially like the dog training level :D Is there any way to get up the monolith that you made?

The one, far off in the distance? All I did was group together the ones from the Patchy Highlands and stand it up >.>

It shouldn't be possible to get on top of.

If you figure out how to do it though, let me know XD

Here's a map I have in progress. I wanted it to be fairly realistic with a monolith motif. I'll post the finished map once I build a central tower, and finish placing, detailing, and angling all the monoliths. So far there are two ways to get everywhere, and I hope to keep it that way when it's done.

Can anyone make/link a good tutorial for the built-in decal editor? The floors and walls are starting to limit the realism of the wear of the building.

Keep up the good work everyone, the maps are looking awesome.

Alright here is the finished product. If it fails when a new alpha comes out, just let me know and I'll see if I can fix it.

I aimed to have the obelisks in a more crystal-like pattern, leave comments and I'll improve the design and add more to the map over the next few weeks.

I also wanted to point out that there are multiple ways to get to the second floor of the temple and only two to the top floor. The challenge is then, can you get to the top while staying in the temple? The map is small, but the jumps are pure evil.

Ok guys its finished. I kinda would like to keep building on this map, so I'm posting v1.0 for download.

Welcome to Emerald Valley!

Thats what i calls it :) but I couldn't rename it without all my objects being deleted. If you like it go ahead and dowload. I've posted i quick video, but I didnt want to give away yoo much of the final map so myaybe you can explore around a bit yourselves. This is actually my first map but i spent alot of time on it.I'd be interested to see if anybody modifies this map, and I challenge anyone to fill the entire map. If you do, I'll try to think of some sort of reward.

Unfortunately, the file you sent doesn't have all the buildings you made. It's basically an empty map with some rocks... I think you may be suffering from the same affliction as a few other mappers, and need to actually grab the version from your cache, and not from you main level folder... Like in this thread... viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9999 (this would also be why changing the name didn't work for you...)

Let us know if it works for you...

I'll make an entry on how to get to the cache files in Windows. I'll edit this post with a link when it's ready.

Still nothing but rocks.

What I meant was, check in this location to see if the file is there: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Levels\

Somehow the file you're sending us has not been updated with your changes.

I believe it's in a hidden folder, so that might make it more difficult to find. Hopefully this will be something we can address soon...
