I have been here a reasonably 'loooooo-oooooo-oooooong' time, yes. But I admit that long time also includes two long dips of inactivity, so I haven't been around to experience everything.
What I am pretty confident about is that this is not the third, but merely the second coming of beard.
The ironic part is, when The Beard first arrived, I didn't even have a beard yet.

...but it all depends on the size of the gat.

Why isn't this thread in the randomn section btw?

Well, the roles seem to shifting a bit. Modding is now the old SPF (but only the cool stuff), the SPF is like Randomness, but only Wolfire oriented, Wolfire is like the old SPF (but only the noobie questions), and Lugaru and Randomness are basically dead.

Being able to post on the SPF was one of the reasons I preordered... had I known what it would become

Well now we have Modding, which is just the same, except only the cool stuff.

Because they're too scared of the bearded wraith should anyone dare contemplate it's relocation.

Are you really suggesting that we should share the Pink Beard with the outside world?

...

They are not worthy !!

Isn't Wolfire really the home of beardiness though? That's where the John's Beard Thread started.

No.
The 'Beardiness' is at the heart of the community. All of those who Were There and matter have access to the SPF, and what would happen if we let The Beard be openly known to those newbies and quasi-pirates and kiddums who start the threads in the Wolfire section?

I dare not speculate.
It would most certainly be sacrilege.

On a side note: Yes, I'm being extra dramatic because that's what the situation calls for in a narrative sense.

I think "in a narrative sense" can be added to the end of almost end statement to improve its clout, in a narrative sense.

Well let's not forget jesse, who was not there, and has not preordered per se, but is still one of the staples of our little Beardy Bunch, in a narrative sense. I've always thought of Randomness as the hangout of the old farts, in a narrative sense. Only people with a certain amount of time on the forums, per se, could possible understand what the hell we are talking about (vis a vis beards, usually), ergo making it more exclusive than the SPF, in a narrative sense.

Your move, Wilbefast.

Surely putting "in a narrative sense" at the end of a sentence means that there was not enough narrative sense to not have to have "in a narrative sense" at the end of a sentence, in a narrative sense

Why are we still fighting when the latest episode of Game of Thrones just released?
