I was messing around on a map, trying out the stealth choke grip. Since stealth doesn't seem to be fully implemented (can't sneak up on enemies from behind without them noticing), I had to jump from a distance and hold RMB to get the enemy into a choke grip (when timed right). About a third of the time, myself and the enemy would teleport (or fly very fast) directly away from one another a short distance, only on the X and Z axes. This seems to be an issue with the physics engine handling jumping into a choke grip, and may be affected by the angle the player jumps at the enemy.

I have run into this also. If I disable the aggressive AI my character and the enemy start uncontrollably spinning while latched onto each other. Though funny, it is a problem.Histrionic wrote:myself and the enemy would teleport (or fly very fast) directly away from one another a short distance...
also, unrelated, how can I switch hands? If I have a weapon in my inactive hand, how do I move it to my active hand without dropping it; would be a better way to phrase it.

I have an interesting one I was playing the arena portion and it crashed due to no dodge animation file when its been using dodging animation's the whole time.

Besides having that odd choke bug that everyone already knows about, I also have a bug that on any level or challenge I don't get either starting or ending screens (just like in he older alphas). Even if I complete the objective nothing happens. I have a Steam version of the game.

Uh, hi. I have bug with launch game, something with GLSL. I don't know, why I'm have with bug, because early game launch normal and i can play any map.

I want to report a bug but since my computer is a bit new I don't really have the client to send a email reporting the bug and it doesn't say what client I need so should I just say it here or should I keep on trying to find out what I need to message the email address

All you need to do to report a bug to Wolfire is to send them a detailed description of what is going on and the hardware report. Read the first post for details. And check the forums to see if that issue has been discussed before.
It would also be helpful if you actually explained what is going on. Maybe people could help you right here.

I get these on almost all custom maps whilst loading, then the map doesn't play as these errors are constantly coming up.

Have you checked that there is actually this fs_light_sand_walk_2.wav file in the Data/Sounds/sand_foley folder?

They are all in there:

It's not just that sound file, on other maps it can be all of the sound files related to it, such as the drygrass_foley sound files.

Alpha 205 crashes on "Getting path set..."
Running Windows 8.1, 64-bit. AMD Radeon HD 8650G. Up to date drivers.
The game itself loads fine, but crashes after trying to load a map. The standard "Overgrowth.exe has stopped working". No crash dump is generated, but a quick look in the logfile.txt shows this:
This is the first time I've installed OG on this PC.
(Any suggestions to fix would be welcome.)

Tabbing into slo-mo at the end of the tumble, freezes the visual. Redactor works, but game has to be restarted.
Windows 8.1, no dump file for obvious reasons.
