Does this game already have a story planned... because if it doesn't I can help you write it.

Aubrey's comic was him testing his story writing skills, so they probably already have some sort of story planned.

Actually they don't, but they probably have an idea of the direction they want to go, and they are building the engine around that. Anything they can't do or can do that they thought they couldn't could dramatically affect the story, so they said they are holding off for now. Aubrey's comic is quite awesome, so expect goodness and candy. but don't hold me to that.
