If you have the problem of when you run Overgrowth in Linux, it doesn't open, and when you try running it from the terminal it says "Creating OS Process", then I have the solution for you.
1. Go to your install directory. This can be done by opening a terminal and typing
cd /usr/local/games/Overgrowth
2. Make OvergrowthWorker.bin.x86 or OvergrowthWorker.bin.x86_64 executable
chmod +x OvergrowthWorker.bin.x86 or OvergrowthWorker.bin.x86_64 depending on if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.
3. Run your overgrowth executable.
./overgrowth.bin.x86 or ./overgrowth.bin.x86_64
4. Enjoy
Please note I have not tried this on a 64-bit machine, I only have a 32-bit machine.
I hope this helps.
For any Linux users who can't run build 181 or 182

Wow, who would've thought it was something so easy? Thanks, worked like a charm.
Re: For any Linux users who can't run build 181 or 182
Out of curiosity, did you guys install the game normally or use the diff zip file or the SUMLauncher Linux version
Re: For any Linux users who can't run build 181 or 182
I downloaded a178 entirely, then used SUMlauncher to update.

Ahh, as I suspected. My guess is either the zip patch doesn't have the execute bit set correctly, or SUMlauncher isn't correctly carrying it over or setting it. Thanks a lot for diagnosing the issue though.johndh wrote:I downloaded a178 entirely, then used SUMlauncher to update.

I believe I have a fix ready, though I would like to test it out with someone.
