How often are updates?

I have had this game for about a month or 2 and i have only had one new update does it not get updated often?

Short question on the forum veterans:
How often do we see a new Overgrowth Alpha build? Are they regularly?

Answer
We used to get a new alpha every week, but then David need more time for things that required more time to work on, like refactoring and such. Here is the alpha video when he said he wasn't going to release alpha video's every week anymore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... rGxg#t=80s They seem to come every few weeks or so,like a month I guess. Sorry if thing are worded weird, i'm kind tired.

It really depends on how big the update is. Because David is now trying to work on some of the biggest features, it will take quite a bit before another alpha update. Also, once the new update is actually done, depending on how big it is, it takes about a day or so to get it all together and onto the forums.

They might be doing something special for Alpha 200, so the updates might be taking even longer than they normally would. It was pretty close to once a month rhythm for a while, though.

Probably. Don't be fooled, though, development isn't slowing down. We'll probably have a buttload of cool stuff dropped on us next alpha, judging by how long it's taking.

Not a chance, mate. They are 100% guarenteed to be working on it. Just because there isn't an update every week, doesn't mean they've stopped working on it. It just means that they're hard at work. It's hard to believe that they've quit with a community this large.

Used to be every Sunday/Monday (different timezones) It then moved to Tuesday's. Or it was the other way around I can't remember. But ever since David had to to a lot of re-writing to make things easier it's been spontaneous. The pattern as of now seems to be once every two months. But who knows, eh?
