Unable to play/control character

Unable to play/control character
I have been playing Overgrowth for a while now, and I went to edit a map, put some swords it in. Hit ESC to play, but it just disabled the HUD and everything; I could press ESC again an it would come up with the level editor GUi and such, but I can't play or control or whatever. I've tried different maps and it does the same thing. Has this happened to anyone else? PS- I have also tried the 'Rabot' button

- Pressing escape or 9 when playing puts you in the editor mode where you can change the level.
- Pressing escape in the editor mode will bring up the menu that for example allows you to go back to the main menu.
- Pressing 8 or the Rabbot button at the top left corner of the screen when you are in the editor mode switches to play mode.
