A "leaked build" is when I grab the latest development build and package it up for you guys. It has a bunch of known bugs, so don't worry if it doesn't work for you. It is not condoned by David and Aubrey but we want to keep you guys in the loop and give you stuff to play with regularly!
If you find any bugs, please email a full description along with your system specs to [email protected].
*NOTE* Please remember that these are unofficial alphas and they do not represent a finished product. They are not polished builds, just raw development dumps.
To download the alpha, use one of these links, or log into your Humble Store account:
If you have not installed Overgrowth yet you can use the SUMLauncher to do so!
If you already have Overgrowth installed you can use the SUMLauncher to update it to the latest alpha.
The SUMLauncher also allows you to install the Menu Mod which gives you another 150+ maps to try.
For Existing SUMLauncher users
If the menu files were changed in this alpha, the menu mod will no longer work. Updating the Menu Mod (to re-enable custom maps) might take us a little while. Once we have uploaded a new version you can use the menu mod installer to update it. (And don't worry, it won't break anything if you try running the installer before we upload the new files.)
It may also take us a bit to update the Menu Mod to include any new maps that this alpha may have added.
For future updates keep an eye on our twitter @SUMOGUtilities!

Cool new update. Would be even cooler if you could add your own sound files etc for voice acting.

Guess it's going to rain machinimas soon, hope there will be some good ones.
Edit: Although, can the camera's only be used during cut-scenes or also outside of it?
Nice update.

Haven't had much time to look into new code, but it already may be possible to add sound and speech into dialog. Maybe there isn't all the code written yet, but someone with skill can probably already do this using other script parts to do this.

I'm probably posting this in the wrong place, but I can't find the download for this game for the life of me. Both of the windows links in this post (.Torrent, and otherwise) 404'ed on me. I've purchased this game because it looks awesome and I want to support the Devs, but I can't figure out how to get it up and running. I want to play!
If someone could give me some advice (pm or otherwise) on how to get this game running on windows as a first time installer I would really appreciate it. I'm capable of troubleshooting and following detailed instructions.
Thanks.

2 questions on the dialouge editor, and one possible bug;
1. How do you make a character look at the eye, head and chest boxes? I have them moved on the different lines of dialouge but I don't know how to make the character look at them.
2. How do you make the dialouge trigger outside of previewing it?
The possible bug;
Each time I save my dialouge, it saves as a blank .txt file; nothing inside it.

Looks like you are not alone with this problem. Looks like windows torrent and direct download link is broken, Mac torrent and Linux torrent don't work also. At least for me right now.

Question, I've been trying to load a map to test the new features, but something is wrong, when I click on the map and a few second loading it says exactly
Function: int IsWall_Jump_Enabled() not found in file:
"Data/Scripts/level.as"
I'm not really sure what to do...
*EDIT* Tried Reupdating Alpha, that didn't seem to work, I tried looking through 201 Files but didn't find anything that would match the problem..

It works fine for me - if you have SUMLauncher, try clearing Overgrowth's cache with it, and see if that helps.

You have to scale the head and chest boxes up to enable them -- they default to 0% effect so that you don't have to use them if you don't want to.
2. How do you make the dialouge trigger outside of previewing it?
This is not fully working yet, but you can load the "start_dialogue.xml" hotspot (in Data/Objects/Hotspots) and set it to the #name of your dialogue, and it should trigger the dialogue when you run into it for the first time.

Sorry about the broken torrent links -- they will be fixed shortly!
