A friend.

Post by Deimo » Fri Jan 17, 2014 2:44 pm

I have a friend whom of which I showed this game, he now calls me a 'furry' over and over because of this game... What should I do to him? Discuss.

Just ignore him, he is ignorant. A lot of people just assume that any game that has anthropomorphic characters in it is 'furry'.

Because of this game it is awesome to be furry! Anyway this game doesn't remind me of cute and fuzzy, just furry ninjas.

He isn't a "real" friend of yours if he makes fun of you, just for something you like. :|

Tell him
'By your logic, playing Call of Duty means you are a war veteran.'

Probably just breaking your balls about it. It's what friends do. Ignore it, tease him back about something he does.

Talk with him, and try to understand why he's calling you a furry.

If he's doing it to taunt you, it won't matter if he really believes you to be a furry. He might even have realized you're not a furry, from the beginning, but he likes the taunting, and the reaction he gets out of you.

If he thinks there's something wrong in being a furry, and that you're a furry for liking this game, you can either try to explain to him why this game isn't furry, or why liking this game doesn't make one a furry, or why being a furry isn't a problem.

The second one seems like the easiest one. There are so many things that seem "furry", but are accepted - TMNT, Lion King, catgirls and Argonians in Skyrim, Richard Scarry's book for children (Busytown), Alfred J. Kwak, Angry Birds, Moomin... Try to remember or find out what he likes, or used to like, and then ask if liking that makes HIM a furry. Try to twist it into an argument about coolness - if he says "it's not furry because they're cool", you win, because Overgrowth rabbits and the combat system are so over-the-top. I mean, we're talking original ninja turtles-level violence here, built into the game mechanics.

Start dry humping him every time he calls you a furry. I imagine he'll stop doing it if it means he's gonna receive a dry hump.
