Where did overgrowth go?

Post by McSteezy69 » Tue Apr 01, 2014 12:58 am

Haven't seen an alpha in like 3 months now.. I'm beginning to think that Overgrowth may become a dead project. Don't let me down I've been a supporter for many years now...

A support ninja replied to a mail of mine telling me they are super busy preparing the update, but this has been more than a week ago.
Probably when it'll happen, it'll be huge.
But then again: will it happen?

Well, as long as it will be big, with more than just the characters Aubrey made in his stream. Hopefully David is adding more things to the arena/campaign :O I'm anticipating some coool stuff this update.

From the twitter of David:

31st march: "Preparing the GDC talk took some time. I am working on some technical issues now to get back in practice."
"Improving the automatic mesh simplification for characters and terrain."

1st April: "Working on improving controller support with new SDL 2 features, like adding and removing controllers while the game is running."

We had ideas, hopes, thoughts, guesses, but only the devs can make promises, and I haven't heard of any Jimmies working on Overgrowth.

He forgot just because too much time has passed since the last update.

I emailed Wolfire, and some guy called Jimmy responded. He said it will get optimized over the next few updates.
