How to remove the sun from Overgrowth levels?

Post by Thereafter » Sat Nov 29, 2014 3:57 am

Hey, I'm trying to make a map set at night that doesn't use the same post shader effects as Painted Desert (night). So basically I'm making an ordinary map but I tried to hide the sun under the ground so it wouldn't light much up. However, when I place the sun under the map to hide it, it stills lights up the map normally. I have tried changing the <ExtraAO> value in the xml file and that hasn't done anything either. So I'm wondering how I could delete the sun or something like that...

double clicking it and increasing the size makes it disappear, I'm not sure if it completely affects the lighting though...

Make it small and hide it under the map.

The engine likely calculates additional ambient lighting in the shader. Swapping to a night shader, like the Painted Desert (Night) one will reduce the overall level of lighting.
