I'd just remember that the new models are definitely works in progress. I would expect that as they are flushed out, they will look more like Steve's concept art, which is definitely emulating Aubrey's style. For example: https://twitter.com/_SteveHong_/status/ ... 3521832960

Yeah, who am I to judge if these are just WIP. They will probably turn out awesome. :)

No. They actually typed it in as part of their post.

We are definitely keeping the same realistic style to the rendering of the characters. Right now we're mostly experimenting with the proportions and such to make sure that the characters can animate properly and distinctively, and then we will work on the details, normal maps, and all that.

I'm so so on the other animals, but it's weird seeing the Rabbit get changed considering out much a part of Overgrowth's Identity it has been. The new models remind me of Lugaru with their big ears.

Sorry, you misunderstood me. The models are a great representation of the artwork shown. It is just the style that I don't think works.

We understand. It might not translate the best from text, but we really all still feel like it's way too early to judge in any way. After all, we did see like, two screenshots of early models, let alone textures and ingame renders.

Honestly, now that it's been a while, the character models have kinda grown on me. It was just a little shocking seeing them, as they are so different looking than the current models. But as others have said before, we haven't seen them in-game, so it's way too early to judge.

I'm not criticizing you at all, sorry if this thread seemed negative towards you in any way. :D
