(help) New player strategies

Hi guys I recently bought the game and started the lugaru campaign but I have run into a tough spot and I can't seem to complete lvl 15. Does anyone have any ideas or tricks that help to win against staves?

I usually dodge the staff to the side and then do a shoulder throw to steal the staff and then attack with the staff. If they steal it back I try to steal it back again and do the same thing.

I also tend to use low sweeps with the staff, which seems to have long range, and gives enemies a harder time when trying to take the staff back.

I noticed somehow knocking it out of a rabbit's hands with a knife.

You can block staffs (unlike spears), if you hold down the RMB after the block, if you get lucky, you will judo throw the enemy and steal their staff (must be unarmed to do so) hope this helps!
