Less intense and restricted than the bodies of water.
This is indeed also a very good point.
This kind of water would be easy to do, yes. Easier than most of the first ideas, anyway.
It would add an additional game play element as well.
The essence of skidding + tripping in the mud would increase players combat awareness and also make it more realistic and enjoyable.

I was just thinking that Level 2 could be more than just little puddles. You could have waist-deep water without having to add any swimming animations.

Yes.
This could really be, like, just a really large puddle.

Anyway, I'd be happy with just level 2. I mean, some little puddles, particle effects and some wet fur shaders would be pretty cool.
I know... But heck! Theres a whale man and NO water! Somethings not right...

Perhaps the whale man is a sign of things to come?
Not to mention the "old school farmer and
fisherman cats" that Jeff talked about in the Paragamer interview.

Oh, and what ever happened to these?
Even if water is limited I hope you still include those beautiful night skies.

Water combined with the amazing new World Machine environments would look incredible.

That without a doubt.
Keep in mind that these pictures were from before this alpha build, an thus water will still be a large thing to implement. If water will be implemented into Lugartoo is only a question of time.

True, I dont expect water in an Alpha, not unless its ground breaking and its done to the point where its just tweeking and fine tuneing...

I would assume all of the above was simply a flat plane with a reflective and refractive filter of some kind applied to it and had no actual physical properties... So, you'd have the look but you wouldn't have the feel =o
