Overgrowth has graduated

Post by turbochop » Sun Dec 21, 2008 2:27 am

I've been keeping an eye on this game for some time now. I would search for it on google almost every day to check for updates on the blog. I googled it today, and I noticed something right away...

OVERGROWTH IS AT THE TOP OF THE RESULTS NOW.

It used to be three links down, next to other kinds of overgrowth, but now it stands tall and proud as the thing everyone is searching for.

I dont know if this is the result of Overt Ops, or something else, but it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know that Overgrowth will be getting the hype it deserves.

Bravo Wolfire, I salute you sir

Holy crap! It's true! I've been tricked by Google a lot because it adjusts itself based on your search history, so I've had a few false "#1 hit" celebrations with John, but this time it's legit!

Yay!

We love Google. At Wolfire, we use like ten of their products extensively and Overgrowth actually relies on Google Chrome. Interesting fact: once Google accidentally delisted us from their search engine completely and even a search for "Wolfire Lugaru" wouldn't return a wolfire.com result. Luckily, I have a friend at Google and he was able to fix it really fast. :)

Thanks for the amazing support guys!

But this friend at Google had nothing to do with the #1 result ... :D

Nice! I pretty much base all my judgement for something according to how it comes up on Google anyway...

Wow, thanks for the kudos Jeff. It really made my day to see my name in a place that actually matters. I really appreciate it. It also makes me happy to know that this post was significant, rather than "just another post".

WOOT, Overgrowth FTW!!!
